About Us
My family has been restoring period properties for many years. I have teamed up with my father who has both a wealth of knowledge and practical experience of building and restoring houses gained from his 45 years in the building trade.
Scavengers started from a need to refurbish my own home. I bought an Edwardian property that had all it's original features replaced and the heart and soul removed so I set about putting it back with the help of my family. Bit by bit we salvaged fireplaces, doors, a bath etc. and gave the house back it's character. As more of my friends bought property they began to ask if I could source pieces of furniture for their homes and the rest is history.
At Scavengers we will do our utmost to find that original item large or small to fit your home. Given the current climate more people understand that recycling and reusing period pieces is the way forward both financially and environmentally.
